Can't believe its been 2 years already...

Yeah... I promised i wouldnt make new annoucements but this is kinda special, We passed our 2 year mark 2 days ago, which means that these forums are 2 years old, while we've had our fair shares of ups and downs, in the end we seems to get back up on our feet, and thats the future I hope to see with these forums, our activity might not be par with other forums, and really, our fundings kinda in the off department aswell, but that doesnt stop us from trying our damned best to make this a great place.

As we see new members pop up every now and then, most of these aren't the most active, heck alot of them vanish shorty after joining aswell, which is something I or any other admin cant really prevent, we cant force anyone to join our community, but what we can do is welcome the new members nicely, making them feel welcomed and with this i hope that more and more will stay.

For those loyal members thats been with us since the start, Thank you, and for the new ones, you are all welcome to join in and eat cake with the rest of us, and lets make it another great year!

Two years huh? Its stayed kind of a small place in that time, hasn't it?

Its quite nice acctually. With such a small member base, I feel less like a statistic and more like a productive member of what is turning out to be a fantastic community.

I know I haven't been around for very long, and I'd dare not make a promise on how long I'll stay, but I would like to thank each and everyone I've had dealings with here; for you've all done a wonderful job at making this little pariah feel a bit less like an outcast.

For awhile, honestly, I'd givin up on the furry community as a whole. I was at one point a member of a diffrent forum, and despite it having a substantially larger member base, I went relativly unnoticed. Months would go by without anyone ever saying two words to me.

And then when my life gets knocked out from under me, and everything is falling apart and going to hell; I reached out to the community on that site, just to talk about whats happening in my life now, and a few decent folks do come forward. For about a week.

You see a moderator accused me of being another user on the site, demanded a photo of my drivers license; and when I didn't send them it, I was perma-banned.

So for awhile I retreated from the furmmunity, until an unrelated google search brought me here. After some thought I decided it best to lick my wounds and start over here.

Doing so has proven to be a decision I have yet to regret; and cannot honestly forsee myself regreting in the future.

So Happy Belated Birthday/Anniversery 'The Furry Den' and all her wonderful members new and old!

So anyone else care to share what first brought them to 'The Furry Den'?

And also; why aren't you making any future announcments?

I can just feeling the burning malcontent maloverence you hold in dire contemption for my soul! I feel the burning, seething rage long withheld inside of you; the yearning desire to smash my very being. Its dire and opressive presence hangs in the air... or maybe its bbq I'm smelling.
