Actually spent a fair share of time writing this, despite it sucking alot of thought vent into it... about 5-6 hours actually... yay i suck... Critique strongly welcomed!
Dragon Council
The full moon was high in the sky causing reflections on the water surface as Calm was stood by the shore watching the moonlight bounce of the water, small ripples in the water surface causing the moonlight to reflect onto the trees making it all quite a pleasant sight. Calm shook it off, trying to get his focus back as he walked out over the water, s small field of ice being created under his feet as they touched the water surface.
Calm walked all the way into the middle of the small lake before looking up at the full moon again before he started talking, “Hey, Estelle... This might be unpleasant...” he sighed as his Estelle partly materialized before him in a phased form, her spirit form, “You might as well just tell me whats going on, You choose me, and I decided to trust you and become your spirit, don't you think its about time you returned the favor? I understand why you don't wanna open to Rezuriel, you don't wanna show weakness to him, but please, be a little more considerate of me, it may make it easier for me to understand you...” she asked him before looking around, studying the surroundings. “Why here? There's nothing here but water.” she continued before she looked back to Calm expecting an answer.
Calm sighed before looking the the spirit, “Understanding me huh?I suppose we got some time so why not.” Calm sat down on the small ice platform that had formed under him while he had been standing there, motioning the spirit to sit down in front of him, which she quickly did, Calm drew a long breath before he started telling her the reason they were there in the first place, “Well, its all a long story to begin with, as you already know about Shiva I guess I should start from there, its been quite a few full moons since that happen now, but after that incident and she was sealed away I was approached by a dragon aspect in regards to mine and Shiva's actions in the past. While I now identify myself as a demon, my demon side has been sealed away inside of my body by the dragons, and I have to go trough these reviews every night of the full moon or my demon side might take over... You know, I kinda hope Rezuriel doesn't master Chrono so he can go back and see what happened back then, My demon side was being suppressed by Shiva and therefore the conclusion that I was not a demon was drawn, and since the dragon aspect sealed my demon side its been impossible for anyone to to confirm the fact that I am indeed a demon by heart.”
“So basically... That's what happened when you killed that dragon earlier? Your demon side seeped out because you're so close to the deadline for refreshing the seal?” the spirit asked him curiously. “Yeah, that's it... Rezuriel could probably deal with me even if the seal would break, but its highly likely he'd have to kill me...Its said that any fighters biggest weakness is not fearing death, maybe that is my weakness, I don't fear death, but that doesn't mean I am without fear.” calm sighed and laid his paw on the spirits chest before absorbing her into his body again, “Its time, so please behave yourself.”
A few minutes after Calm had reabsorbed the spirit into his body the surroundings changed, suddenly he was within a cave, while it was dark and he couldnt see much of his surroundings other than the dirt floor and the small luminescent blue flames around the walls it was apparent that he was underground, and he could sense several dragons around him, some of which he could see, neither of which appeared to be in a humanoid form, so it made for quite a scary image, or at least for someone who hadn't gotten used to it happening every full moon. “You guys are late, ive been waiting for over a hour...” the largest of the dragons looked at him before growling “Silence! We have a few things to talk to you about before renewing the seal.”
“Oh? What might that be?” Calm asked, looking up at the dragon which had been talking to him earlier, “We have been watching your recent activities, and we have concluded that this will be the last time we strengthen the seal. You've been practicing advanced magic, and you killed another dragon.” the dragon said as he was staring back at Calm, both of them not breaking eye contact. “Heh... So you knew huh... thought I'd manage to hide that fact from you guys... Either way, I can justify killing that dragon. He was not a prisoner of war, he was a defector which had forced itself upon my body during the war. It was within my every right to execute him.”
“We have already agreed not to punish you for that, however you also made a deal not to practice advanced magic, and only use magic as a basis for survival, hunting, traveling and inter dimensional travel” the dragons words were quite obviously serious and form the sound of his voice it didn't seem very likely that it had any intentions of going back on its word. “That's fine why don't we just get it over with so I don't have to look at your ugly faces?”
The dragons seemed quite displeased with the with the way Calm talked about them, “Just because you think that you're superior to us doesn’t mean you have to be rude about it.” the dragon said before they started the ritual, 5 dragons around Calm as a glowing pentagon was formed on the ground under Calm, the dragons marking the corners. Shortly after the pentagon was completely filled by light the light enveloped Calm making him cry out in pain barely being able to keep standing as the sealing process was rather painful. Early in the process the light turned redish from Calms blood as particles in the light caused several small cuts all over his body.
After a good 4 hours had passed the process was finally finished and the light faded, “That will be the last time we help you, you betrayed our deal, you should be glad we even helped you just now.” the dragon spoke before they all turned their back to him and walked away. As they were walking away Calm snarled at them, “I will be back to take your lives for this, our agreement is no longer in effect so I don't need to worry about the rules you guys have imposed on me.”As calm had been saying that the surroundings had slowly gone back to the lake and he was standing on top of ice again, the moon glowing just as strong as it had before he had been transported to the cave. “Are you still okay Estelle?” Calm asked as he walked over the water surface again the ice behind him slowly melting as he headed towards the cave. “Y-yeah somehow... That actually even hurt me...” the spirit answered without being manifested this time. “Good. We're all set then, even though we still need to figure out how to deal with the fact that the seal wont be renewed past this point...”
